The Vice President for Communications and External Affairs reports directly to the System President and the LSU Board of Supervisors, serving as the primary spokesperson for the LSU System to local, state and national media. Coordinates communication efforts and strategy among system campuses and hospitals and serves as a communications liaison to other System offices, including Governmental Relations, Academic Affairs, the Senior Executive Vice President for Administration and Finance, and the General Counsel. Manages media strategy for the System office and provides analysis of coverage to the System President and Board.
